Barbara J. Oliver, 74, of Green Bay, passed away on June 9, 2024.
She was born on August 1, 1949 to Wilbur "Tux" and Doris (Rae) Mittlestedt in Evanston, IL. Barbara enjoyed her time with family and friends. Family meant a lot to her, she was and always will be an adoring Nana to her grandkids and great-grandkids. Traveling was a big thing for her, especially spending winters in Florida with Russell. She loved going up north staying at the lake cottages, ever since she was a little girl. Her and Russell would often enjoy four wheeling when they spent time up there. She loved socializing and was a great listener. She was unbelievably kind to everyone and extremely approachable. Barbara was also known as a huge dog lover.
Barbara is survived by her loving partner, Russell Strebel; brother, Charlie (Judy) Mittlestedt; sister-in-law, Donna Mittlestedt; step-daughter, Kelly (Gregg) Carlson; nephew, Chuck Mittlestedt; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Oliver; her parents; brother, Dennis; sister, Margaret; and her niece, Victoria.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, June 23, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, Receptions, 340 S. Monroe Ave, Green Bay. A memory sharing will be at 4:00 p.m. and all are invited to participate.
