Barbara had the personality and natural charisma to make friends wherever she went. She also had a great sense of humor and was quick with a snappy comeback. You always knew where you stood with her. She always dressed to the nines and enjoyed shopping to keep up with all the latest fashions. That fashion sense also included Alan who she kept up to date on his look as well.
Barbara was a caring and loving mother who provided structure with every detail planned out, which included what meals we were going to eat on each day of the week to going to Millersville Pond, the Milwaukee zoo or Great America.
Barbara was an incredible baker whose little, yellow recipe box was overflowing with confectionery delights that she clipped out of magazines, newspapers, cookbooks, or got from friends. She provided a special, home baked dessert with every dinner.
Barbara was lucky to be a stay at home mom which gave her kids numerous fun memories that we will cherish always.
Barbara went back into the working field in 1981 when she started working as one of 3 secretaries at Woodcraft Inc. where her incredible work ethic and ability to juggle many things at once quickly made the other 2 secretaries obsolete. Woodcraft is where she met Sue Macki who she remained friends with.
When Barbara retired she enjoyed taking trips with Alan, her brother Bob and his wife Diane to places like Branson MO or riverboat cruises down the Mississippi river to name a few.
Barbara was a truly great woman whose impact will be forever felt by all who knew her. She was a fun woman who enjoyed life whose passing left an unfillable gap in the hearts of her loved ones both family and friends. Her ability to sacrifice, provide, support, forgive, and love will be forever engrained in all she knew.
