On the evening of July 31st, 2021, Barbara Angle, beloved mother, sister, and grandmother passed away at the age of 91.
Barbara was born in Piqua, OH on March 4th, 1930 to the late Donald and Lena Giesseman (Schultz). She grew up attending classes in a two room school house in Egg Harbor, WI. As children, she and her siblings would pick cherries and apples to make a little extra money, and free time was always spent swimming on the shores of the Alpine Beach Resort or sledding down the local hills that led into town. She graduated from Gibraltar High School in Fish Creek.
At the age of 21, she married Mark W. Stewart in a little church in Algoma, WI and raised a family of three boys together. For most of her married life, Barbara was a homemaker and kept up with all of the responsibilities that come along with feeding, cleaning, and keeping track of three rambunctious boys.
Many years later, Barb went to work as a manager for the Continental Baking Company. She eventually transitioned to working at the 41 Truck Plaza where she met her second husband, Joe Angle. Barb and Joe were married for 20 years before Joe's passing in 2003. Barb's favorite past times include playing dominos, watching Packer games, adult coloring, knitting, crocheting and polka dancing.
She is survived by her sons and their spouses: Don and Cheryl, Jeff and Janet, Mark and his significant other, Diane as well as 8 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and her sister Susie Jorns. Along with her parents, Barbara is proceeded in death by her late husbands, Mark Stewart and Joseph Angle as well as her siblings: Donald and Robert Giesseman and Joyce Thiel.
Visitation for Barbara will be held on Wednesday, August 4th from 10 AM to 12 PM at Newcomer- Green Bay Chapel (340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay, WI 54301). Entombment will be held at Allouez Catholic Cemetery & Mausoleum following her visitation.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff at St. Paul's Elder Care Rehabilitation Center, Michelle at Care Patrol, as well as the caregivers at The Landings of Kaukauna and St. Croix Hospice for the tireless care, comfort, and attention they provided during her final days.
