Antone Kapla

December 24, 1944 — March 2, 2021

Antone E. "Tony" Kapla, age 76, of Howard, passed away peacefully at home, Tuesday, March 2, 2021, surrounded by family and his fur babies, Sunny and O'Malley. He was born December 24, 1944 in Howard, son of the late Anton Kapla and Marie (Fellows) Nellis Kapla and was a graduate of Green Bay East High School, Class of 1962.

Tony married M.J. (Mary Jane) Williquette, June 7, 1996 in Las Vegas, NV and they shared 27 wonderful and adventurous years together. He began working for Green Bay Packaging in 1964, retiring in 2004 after over 40 years of dedicated service.

Tony and M.J. were avid Harley Davidson motorcycle activists, traveling extensively across the United States together, attending many Harley rallies and National motorcycle races. They both agreed that it was all about their Journey and not the Destination. He also loved cheering on the Packers, traveling to many of the away games. He enjoyed fishing with his dad and children.

Antone is survived by his best friend and soulmate, M.J. (Mary Jane); 4 children: Mark Kapla, Debby Kapla, Kelley (Patrick) Kapla Fritsch and Korey Kapla; 7 grandchildren: Kayla, Toni, Tyler, Ariel, Kayla, Haley and Cameron; 10 great-grandchildren and 3 siblings: Betty (Nellis) Salazar, Dolly (Augie) Eller and Rudy (Jackie) Kapla. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and many, many Harley friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and baby brother, Thomas John Kapla.

We are thankful and feel so blessed for the time we had him in our lives and spent many memorable moments. His infectious smile, sense of humor and gift to gab will be sorely missed by all. Whenever I hear the song "I Did It My Way" it will bring a smile to my face.

It is with sincere gratitude to all people who helped on Tony's journey, all his doctors and nurses: too numerous to mention at St. Vincent's Hospital and St. Vincent's Home Health Care who helped care for him while home. We are especially grateful for the Unity Hospice Team after, who went above and beyond to care for him and his family with such dignity and respect. We Thank You.

In honor of Tony's wishes, due to COVID, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Jerry Parins "Cruise for Cancer" https://www.cruiseforcancer.org/.
