Anthony "Tony" L. Pigeon, age 87, of Green Bay, passed away unexpectedly at his home, Sunday, September 4, 2016. He was born May 12, 1929 in New Franken, son of the late William and Alice (Servais) Pigeon and was a 1947 graduate of Luxemburg High School. He was a great athlete in High School and played on the football and wrestling teams.
Tony married Virginia Mae Cravillion, August 9, 1952 at St. Philip the Apostle Parish, Green Bay and together they shared 64 loving years of marriage. He worked at Hoffer Glass for 47 years, retiring in 1994. After retirement, he continued to work part time for Hoffer Glass for 9 years.
Tony was known as a handy man and could build and fix anything-he even built his own home. He was a fantastic carpenter and enjoyed woodworking projects around the house and was always lending a helping hand building and fixing for friends and family. Tony and Mae enjoyed traveling together, playing cards with kids, grandkids, other family members and friends, going to the casino, trips to Branson, spending time at the cottage with his kids and other family and attending church bingo. Tony was a proud grandpa and always shared his winnings from the casino with the grandkids. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. His sense of humor and quick wit will be dearly missed.
Anthony is survived by his wife, Virginia Mae; 3 children: Sue Pigeon, Sharon (Greg Bucher) Pigeon and Tim (Linda Hronek) Pigeon; daughter-in-law, Cindy Pigeon; 3 grandchildren: Preston, Dallas (Marquise), Courtney (Nick) Pigeon; 2 brothers, Donald (Agatha) and Bernard (Pat) Pigeon; a sister, Jlaine Zellner; 3 sisters-in-law: June Lindsley, Marie Vanden Avond and Pauline Pigeon; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Alice Pigeon; a brother, Marvin Pigeon; an infant brother, Charles Pigeon; father and mother-in-law, Elmer and Julia Cravillion and 4 brothers-in-law: Lloyd Vincent, Cletus Zellner, Jerry Lindsley and Leroy Vanden Avond.
