Anthony Huberty

April 27, 1947 — December 25, 2013

Anthony James "Tony" Huberty, 66, Green Bay, passed away after a yearlong struggle with cancer. He was born April 27, 1947, in Lena, WI, to Rosalie (Vanderperren) & Clement Huberty. Tony was a graduate of Lena High School in 1965. After graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Korea for one year and two years in Berlin, Germany. Upon discharge, Tony completed an Associate's degree from NWTC in surveying. On May 1, 2013, Tony retired from Brown County Surveyor's Office.

Tony enjoyed playing cards with family and friends and liked watching all sports, especially watching the Green Bay Packers and the Wisconsin Badger games with his grandson, Colin.

On February 14, 1997, Tony married Virginia "Ginny" Blom. Tony will be deeply missed by his wife, Ginny; two daughters, Barbara Jane Reinke, Hanover, Germany, and Lara Huberty, Imperial Beach, CA. He will also be missed by Ginny's children, James (Tammy) Blom, Kevin (special friend, Dawn) Blom, Wayne (Jodi) Blom and Suzie (Rick) Lancelle, all of Green Bay.

Tony's surviving siblings are sisters, Rita (Larry) Martens, Pell City, AL, and Leah (Bob) Dumke, Green Bay, WI; brothers, Dr. Carl Huberty, Athens, Ga, John (Mary Lynn) Huberty, Seaford, DE, and Joe (Carol) Huberty, Green Bay, WI; He is further survived by sisters-in-law, Cathy (Art) Huberty and Sandra Wondrash, both of Lena, WI.

Tony is preceded in death by his parents; infant brother, Clyde; and brothers, Art & Ken Huberty.

Family and friends may call from 3:00pm until 6:00pm on Thursday, January 2, 2014, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 340 S. Monroe Ave. Green Bay. A funeral service will be held at 6:00pm on Thursday at the funeral home followed by full military honors.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established.

Tony's family would like to express a special thank you to the nurses of Aurora Health and Aurora Visiting Nurse's Hospice.

Tony was especially touched by his long lost daughter, Barbara Jane, with her three recent visits from Germany to Green Bay. "Missing Parts of a Family Puzzle- Two Countries, One Heart." –Barbara Jane
