Ann Marie Reiser (Sawyer), beloved wife, mother, and friend passed away on July 28th, 2022 at the age of 69.
She was born to parents Carl & Grace (Ceelen) Sawyer on October 17th, 1952 in San Antonio, TX. Ann graduated from Neenah High School and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Ecology from the University of Wisconsin.
She was married to Paul Reiser in Neenah, Wisconsin on October 22nd, 1971. Ann is survived by her children residing in Sobieski, WI: Chad (Becky) Reiser, Garrit Reiser, and Grant (Nicole) Reiser. Her siblings: Dan (Linda) Sawyer of Neenah, Mary (Joseph) Sawyer of Appleton, Todd (Diane) Sawyer of Winneconne, and Patti Sawyer of Nokomis, FL along with many nieces and nephews. Ann was preceded in death by her son P.J. Reiser, and her parents Carl & Grace Sawyer of Kimberly, WI. Ann will be resting on the Reiser family farm along with their late son P.J. Reiser.
Ann was an accomplished Proprietor of "The Shepard's Purse", fiber artist, farmer, spinner, weaver and bee keeper. She attended many fiber shows, farmer's markets, and wool shows. Her passion and favorite place to be was taking care of her hobby farm and enormous vegetable and flower garden with her husband Paul. She cared for her many farm animals for over 40 years. Ann was a part of 3 Green Bay wool spinning and fiber artist clubs. The ladies lovingly called her Queen Bee. She enjoyed many family girls' vacations; most recently a family memorial trip to St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. Ann was immensely proud of her family, and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories.
The Reiser family sends a very special thank you to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Bellin Hospital and Unity Hospice for taking care of Ann.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, August 5th, 2022 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Newcomer Funeral home in Green Bay, WI (340 S. Monroe Ave.).
In lieu of flowers or gifts we instead ask for donations to be made to United 24, a humanitarian and medical aid fund for Ukraine, established by President Zelenskyy.
