Angeline Duffey, 86, Embarrass, passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2013 at Appleton Medical Center with her family by her side. She'd had a brief bout of pneumonia that, combined with her Chronic Heart Disease, was just too much to overcome.
She was born on May 14, 1926 in Wabeno, WI to the late Oren & Esther (Timmel) Fenn.
Angie graduated from Clintonville High School in 1944. After high school she worked at the Great Lakes Naval Base in Illinois.
She married David M. Duffey on November 27, 1947, initially living in Appleton. She worked while Dave finished college. In 1958, the family moved to the Cloverleaf Lakes where they enjoyed all the activities that came with living at the lakes. She was a wonderful, loving mother to her three children.
Angie and Dave divorced in 1969. She later worked for the Clintonville Public School system for a few years and eventually became the Assistant Register of Deeds for Shawano County. In 1981, she moved to Embarrass, where she lived until shortly before her passing.
After retiring from her courthouse position in 1991, she enjoyed traveling with her three sisters and extended family. They were a close-knit bunch, and family get-togethers were always joyous occasions with plenty of laughter, food, and good times.
