Alvin "Al" Majewski, 86, of Green Bay, WI., passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at his home on Monday, September 27th, 2021. He was born on May 12th, 1935, to the late Vincent and Helen (Holewinski) Majewski in Hofa Park, WI.
Al grew up on his family farm. After graduating from Pulaski High School he joined the United States Army.
On July 28th, 1956, Al married his high school sweetheart Lucille. They spent 65 years of marriage together and raised their four children in Green Bay.
After being honorably discharged from the Army, Al went to work for Moore Business Forms until his retirement in 1997.
After retirement, Al went on to build model airplanes. He was a member of the Green Bay Model Airplane Club, Green Bay Men's Club and Huss Plus Club. He was a former member of Whirlaway Square Dance Club and an Assistant Scout Master for Boy Scouts of America. Al also volunteered at St. Vincent de Paul.
Al enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, camping and building and flying his model airplanes.
Al is survived by his loving wife Lucille; three sons: Bob (Cindi), Dan (Donna), Tom (Barb); daughter Kathy (Mike) Newell; six grandchildren: Brad and Andrew Majewski, Dr. Mary (Justin) Esders and Liz Majewski, Becky (Jacob) Johnson and Emily Newell; sister Anne (Charlie) Hahn; sisters-in-law: MaryEllen, Bette and Alice (Bob) Dudek; brothers-in-law: Gene (Virginia) Westphal and Dave Liebergen along with 17 nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, Al is preceded in death by his brothers: Edmund and Marvin; great-grandchildren: Henry and Cohen Esders; sister-in-law Joan Liebergen and his nephew Jeff Dudek.
Visitation for Al will be held on Tuesday, October 5th, 2021, at St. Agnes Parish (1484 9th St, Green Bay, WI 54304) from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM with Fr. Patrick Beno officiating.
The family would like to thank the caring nurses, CNA's and staff at Unity Hospice for the care and compassion they gave to Al and his family.
