Altha L. Ortlieb, age 98, of Coleman, WI. Passed away peacefully, Wednesday November 30, 2022. She was born January 24, 1924 to the late George and Anastacia Kaster in De Pere where she was raised on a farm and attended grade school. Later some of the family moved to Pound, WI. where she helped run the family business while attending High School in Coleman, WI.
When Altha turned 18 she went to Milwaukee to work at Allis Chambers Machine where she met the Love of her Life. Altha married Jerry on Febuary 5th 1944 in Corpus Christi, Texas while Jerry was in the Navy. They moved to Wisconsin after the War and settled in Green Bay, where they shared 77 loving years of marriage and were blessed with 3 children.
Altha and Jerry took pride in building 5 different homes that they lived in as a family. She worked as a homemaker for many years before working outside the home at different jobs. She was a waitress, and a seamstress then she worked at Packerkand Packing and at Lindquist Machine. After retirement they moved to Crivitz, WI. where they enjoyed up north life and did a little traveling. They spent a few winters as snowbirds in Florida. First and foremost Altha was a devoted wife, loving mother and proud grandmother/ great grandmother.
Altha was survived by 2 children: James (Dee) Ortlieb, Judith (Dennis) Laurent, and Daughter-in-Law Patti Ortlieb. Altha also leaves her beloved 12 grandchildren Jeanine (Junior) Dolphus, Sherry (Troy) Jones, Eric (Rachel) Ortlieb, Leslie (Dave) Collard, Crystal (RJ) Maloney, Zack (Alicia) Sanftner, Kelly(Chad) Butler, Lisa (Joe) Bartels, Crystal (Pete) Clark, Coty (Kyle) Johnson, Logan (Xiomara) Ortlieb, Logan Sanftner. Along with 19 great grandchildren. She is further survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her 6 siblings: Howard (Francis) Kaster, Leona (John) VanDenHeuval, Kenneth (Florence) Kaster, Donald (Joanne) Kaster, AnnaMarie (Emory) Umentum, Margeret (Em) (Frank) Bjorklund. Her Son Kurt Ortlieb.
There will be no Funeral or Visitations per her wishes. If you wish you can leave online condolences. In lieu of flowers, memorials directed to Unity Hospice in Altha's name are appreciated.
