Albert "Al" Hanold, 77, Village of Allouez, passed away unexpectedly at his cottage on Wednesday, September 24, 2014.
He was born on June 6, 1937, to the late Otto & Stephanie Hanold.
Al married the former Verna Berg in De Pere, WI.
He worked for the Diocese of Green Bay for over 47 years, retiring in 2001.
Al enjoyed spending his leisure time at the cottage he built in Silver Cliff, and referred to it as "God's Country."
Survivors include his wife, Verna; two sons, Keith Hanold, Phoenix, AZ and Garry Hanold, Green Bay; two grandsons, Shaun (Alecia) Hanold and Jason Hanold, Green Bay; two great-grandchildren, Lydia & Owen Hanold; two brothers, Richard (Sue) Hanold and Frank Hanold, Green Bay; sister, Marti (Bob) Honan, CA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by brothers, Chuck Hanold and Donald Hanold; sisters, Beatrice Fouts & Caroline Gorka.
Visitation will be held from 2:00pm until 3:00pm on Tuesday, September 30, 2014, at St. Joseph Chapel on the Diocesan Campus,1825 Riverside Drive, Green Bay. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 3:00pm on Tuesday with Bishop Banks officiating.
