Albert R. Drier

Albert R. Drier passed away on Tues, July 20,2021; one week shy of his 94th birthday. He was born in Trenton, MO, to the late Frieda Hoppe Drier Haevers and Benjamin Drier, but lived in Casco and Green Bay most of his youth. During WW II when Albert was 17, he enlisted in the Navy Seabees and was stationed in the Philippines for 3 tours. After the war, he returned to Green Bay and worked for Wisconsin Public Service for 40 years in the electric dept. He had a lifelong passion for the outdoors - he loved hunting, fishing, camping and spending time up north at his cabin.
Albert married Elizabeth Roznowski on Valentines Day, 1953. They shared 61 years together before Elizabeth's death, Aug.1, 2014. They were blessed with 3 children: Karen (Joseph) Gaines, Greenleaf; David (Jeannette) Drier, St. Paul; Daniel Drier, Pleasant Prairie; and 4 grandchildren: Lauren Gaines (Brian Jacobs); Weston Gaines (fiancé, Caroline Ogawa); Derek and Bryce Drier. He was preceded in death by one sister, Shirley Schunk.
