Agnes M. Dequaine, 88, Allouez, passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2014. She was born on March 24, 1926, to Bernard & Lillian (Clabots) VanderKelen. Agnes married Owen Dequaine in November 1945; together they had two children. After a couple of years, Owen reenlisted in the Army for 23 years. Moving was a way of life, including three years in Germany. In 1956, they purchased a small motel in Wausau which Agnes ran for nine years.
Survivors include one grandson, Aaron Swart, who lived with Agnes after Kathy's death; one sister, Lucille Brunner; sister-in-law, Marlyn Dequaine; niece, Terry (Bob) Staats; and nephew, Ricky (Mary) Davidson.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Owen; both children, Kathy & Gary; sister, Janet Davidson; sister-in-law, Bev Dequaine; and brother-in-law, Sylvester Brunner.
Family and friends may call Friday, April 25, 2014 at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 130 St. Matthews St., Green Bay, from 10:00am until 11:00am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the church on Friday at 11:00am with Rev. Philip Dinh-Van-Thiep officiating. Entombment will be at Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.
