Adam J. Janssen, age 44, of De Pere, passed away peacefully, Monday, April 25, 2022 at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center, Milwaukee, WI, surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was born September 24, 1977 in Green Bay, WI, the eldest son of Jack and Mary (Smits) Janssen and was a graduate of West De Pere High School, Class of 1996.
After graduation, he began working for Vos Electric, where he spent his entire career working as an electrician.
Adam was an avid fisherman. He had a kind and sensitive nature. All of his nieces and nephews were very special to him and he called them all "George." His children, Hailey and Connor, were his pride and joy. He cherished the time he spent with his kids playing catch in the yard, fishing with Connor and swimming with them every opportunity he had.
Adam is survived by his children, Hailey and Connor Janssen; his parents, Jack and Mary Janssen; 5 siblings: Christine (Jesse) Wautlet and their children: Dominick, Annabelle and Abilene, Jerimiah (Sara) Janssen and their children: Parker, Lucas and Piper, Ted Janssen and his daughter, Maddie, Curt (Katy) Janssen and their children: Abram, Silas, Natalie and Brooke and Alex (Michaela) Janssen and their children, Jackson and Luna; his girlfriend, Michelle Cornelius; his former wife, Sara Bryant and family friend, Becky Janssen.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Bunny "Al" and Vi Smits and paternal grandparents, Norb and Alice Janssen.
Visitation will be held at Newcomer-Green Bay Chapel (340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay, WI), Saturday, April 30, 2022 from 2 to 4 PM. A memorial service will follow at 4 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials directed to the family will be used to establish a fund for Adam's children.
