Tammy Sue Wery

Tammy Wery, age 50, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 5, 2023. She was born on December 14, 1972 in Manitowoc, the daughter of David and Lorraine (Dufek) Volkema. Tammy graduated from Denmark High School in 1992. She was united in marriage to Duane Wery on May 26, 2006 in Las Vegas. She worked for Sofidel for the past 6 years. Tammy enjoyed spending time with her family and her chickens.

Tammy is survived by her husband, Duane, five children: Sean (Kaycee Zimmerman) Volkema, Tony Brantmeier, Dixie, Sawyer, and Daisy Wery; granddaughter, Breylynn Volkema, her parents, David and Lorraine Volkema, two brothers: Ed Volkema and David (Susan Moua) Volkema; one brother-in-law, Dustin (Amy) Wery, her nieces and nephews: Angel, Jackie, Jasmine, Harley, Lily, Matt, Taylor, Isaac, Cole, and Lily; further survived by aunts, uncles, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Braxten and parents-in-law, David and Donna Wery.


Friends and family may visit at St. Thomas the Apostle, 5930 Humboldt Rd, Luxemburg; on Thursday, January 12, 2023 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm with a Prayer Service at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Friday, January 13, 2023 from 9:30 am until 11:00 am with Mass at 11:00 am, burial will follow at St. Hubert Catholic Cemetery.
